Professor at the Latvia University of Agriculture – since 11.02.1998. He has extensive experience in research since 1977. During this period, he is an expert in soil fertility and fertiliser use. Lately, he has conducted studies of soil science, soil diagnosis and classification, soil data management. He is the author or co-author of 22 peer-reviewed publications indexed in SCOPUS, with an h-index of 6. Author and co-author of several monographs and textbooks.
