During the last years, outbreaks were observed in the north of Europe – Latvia and Estonia. The results of previous studies revealed a possibility of co-existence of three or more species of pathogens belonging to the genus Botrytis. The aim of research is to identify the causal agents of chocolate spot of faba beans and to expand and deepen the knowledge about the diversity and pathogenicity of Botrytis spp. as the causal agents of legume diseases with the emphasis on faba beans.
