Anna Mežaka Academic position Associate Professor Dr.biol. Field of research 2. Preservation of biological diversity in agro- and forest biocenoses, ecosystem protection and services E-mail anna.mezaka@lbtu.lv Obtained doctoral degree in biology at the University of Latvia. Afterwards she was participating and leading research projects in Latvia and abroad. She is expert in plant ecology, forest ecology, botany, bryology with emphasis of using bryophytes as model organisms. Her research cover temperate and tropical forest ecosystems, where she is investigating variables that are influencing bryophyte and epiphyte distribution in fundamental and conservaiton science perspective. She is author or co-author of 29 peer-reviewed publications indexed in SCOPUS, with an h-index of 8.
