After 15 years working in the industry, she returned to the University and defended her doctoral thesis on 2014. She is an active senior researcher at the Institute of Animal Sciences in the field of cow milk production and quality since 2018. Her first leaded research project continued to explore previous fields of interest and was related to studies on nutrient conversion and optimal crude protein levels in dairy cow rations to reduce environmental contamination levels. In 2019 she was involved in ERA-NET cofounded the project “Climate care cattle farming systems”, and led of project in Latvia. Her interest in the full cycle of the milk production process and its impact on the environment become wider and more deeply studied. She is the author or co-author of 13 peer-reviewed publications indexed in SCOPUS, with an h-index of 3. The most important projects (2019-2025) Climate Care Cattle Farming Systems (CCCfarming), 2019 , project leader Assessment and accounting of greenhouse gas (GHG) and ammonia emissions from livestock under conventional and organic farming conditions, 2022 , project leader Research on nutrient conversion and the optimal crude protein level in dairy cow rations to reduce enviromental pollution levels., 2019 , project leader The most important publications (2019-2025) A.
