Her master's thesis was developed on an innovative topic in Latvia – turf grass diseases on the golf courses. Obtained doctoral degree in agronomy at the VMU Agriculture Academy in Lithuania in 2024. From 2003 to 2018, she worked at the Latvian Plant Protection Research Centre, conducting tests for the effectiveness of plant protection products, as well as managing and participating in various scientific studies on plant protection. Since 2019, she has focused on research activities in the LBTU Institute of Plant Protection Research “Agrihorts”. Regina has experience of studies about harmful organisms and control strategies in different crops, but the closest has always been fruit farming. She has particularly focused on exploring, forecasting and developing plant protection recommendations in cooperation with apple growers. She is active in leading courses for the farmers. She is the author or co-author of peer-reviewed publications indexed in SCOPUS, with an h-index of 3.
